At NJTL of Northern Colorado, we create a clear pathway for underserved youth that combines tennis, bilingual education, life skills, and leadership development.

Preschool
Introduction to tennis at La Familia and Teaching Tree, where children learn basic skills and tennis vocabulary in both English and Spanish.

Elementary
Many children from La Familia Preschool transition into our lunchtime tennis program at Putnam Elementary. Programming includes early leadership training and listening skills..

Middle School
Players continue through Boys & Girls Clubs programming and our Middle School Boot Camp. Support at this stage includes funding for tennis equipment and fees.

High School
Our high school program emphasizes advanced leadership development to prepare students for roles as team captains, mentors, and future coaches.

Serving Up Success  is the NJTL FC annual report to the Community on all the FANTASTIC things we did in 2024 and have planned for 2025.

National Junior Tennis and Learning of Fort Collins hosted several important events in including:

• NJTL Essay Contest

NJTL FC provides free or low-cost tennis and education programming to more than 200 under-resourced youth in Northern Colorado.  This year we had two entries in the annual NJTL Essay Contest.  NJTL FC has had annual entries into the NJTL Essay Contest and several years ago, Isabell Cluett our high school entry, won the Intermountain Section for G 15-16 and her essay and it was submitted for the National Championships with a chance to win a trip to NYC for Arthur Ashe Kids Day.

Our Lunchtime Tennis program brings the game directly to kids where they are on the playground! We set up kid-sized nets, racquets, and low-compression balls to transform the blacktop into a fun and welcoming tennis court. Right now, we’re running this program at Putnam Elementary, giving students the chance to stay active, learn new skills, and discover the joy of tennis during recess.
