Programs.
Following the wishes of Arthur Ashe, NJTL Fort Collins offers tennis, education, life skills land leadership opportunities for youth in our community. In addition, youth participate in our Serves and Returns program which focuses on giving back through our community service and outreach.
Tennis
Youth ages 5-18 receive free tennis instruction from trained coaches in schools and public parks year round.
Education
NJTL FC provides educational support to students through Power Hour, tutoring and homework assistance. In addition, several sites offer the USTA A.C.E. literacy and mathematics curriculum. We support strong academic performance in all our youth. SCHOOL IS COOL AND EDUCATION IS IMPORTANT
Life Skills
NJTL FC offers life skills education through the First Serve curriculum. NJTL FC was one of the original 17 sites in the US that piloted the First Serve curriculum.
Leadership
NJTL FC was awarded a contract by USTA CO (CO Youth Tennis Foundation) to develop tennis specific leadership curriculum for the STAR Search program in 2016. The SERVES Leadership curriculum is used with most of the youth programming and sites.
